Everyone needs a little breathing room

Does a tech hub without the astronomical cost of living and millions of people stacked on top of each other sound like a dream? Don’t pinch yourself: it’s real! Nestled only a short distance from the frenetic pace of Kuala Lumpur is Cyberjaya, the Silicon Valley of Malaysia. Warm weather, sunny days, and plenty of greenspace for you to stretch your legs, your arms, and any other part that needs stretching without the worry of colliding with ten other tech workers!

Cyberjaya is a picturesque science park that is home to many large international corporations. It offers shiny new hotels, bars, and restaurants serving fusion cuisine so there’s plenty to keep you busy after-hours. The Cyberjaya Lake Gardens is a 400-acre nature park, perfect for a little lunchtime yoga or a stroll near the water. Add to that basketball and tennis courts, swimming pool, golf driving range, and a go-kart circuit, and you’ve got all the makings of a great place to live and work.

This international client is a financial company that believes online trading should be available to all . . . and it turns out the world agreed with them! Twenty years on, they’ve seen incredible growth around the globe. With a brand that’s recognized worldwide and a passion for hiring extraordinary employees, they are looking for a few great people to join their team.

The Cyberjaya office is looking for a front-end developer. You should be used to working with a package manager (they use npm), a task runner (like Gulp or Webpack), a CSS preprocessor, and WebSockets. They’ve looking for someone with a wealth of experience across the JavaScript ecosystem – you should have opinions on ES6, played with TypeScript, understand the role of Babel and Web Workers, and you’ve mastered a modern framework like React or Angular.

After a chill workweek in Cyberjaya, maybe you’ll want to turn it up a notch on the weekend. If you want to venture out, Kuala Lumpur is a short drive away. For those who want to roam further afield, why not pop over to Air Asia’s home airport and hop a flight to one of the many neighbouring countries? Fill that passport, my friend; the world is yours to explore when Cyberjaya is your home base!

Cyberjaya and all it has to offer is waiting for you—are you going to answer the call of the wide-open-parks and weekend adventures? Email us to tell us why you should be the next JS pro in Malaysia’s Silicon Valley!

Let's do this!
