What do Batman and Robin, Kirk and Spock, and Buffy and Willow have in common? They all know it doesn’t matter if you’re the Dark Knight, a space cowboy, or The Chosen One: sometimes, we all need a little help from our friends, and when the nefarious nemesis is online, many people turn to helpdesk software. In the mood to lend a hand? Then read on!
Our Wimbledon-based client makes helpdesk software for a wide range of companies, including Microsoft, Panasonic, and Vodafone. When something goes wrong, customers rely on our client’s helpdesk products to put it right. Whether a user connects via chat, email, voice, or sending out the Bat Signal, our client’s software makes sure they get the assistance they need.
To keep the good times rolling, our client needs a senior front-end engineer who lives and breathes Typescript and React to design and build an integration platform in the heart of their product. At first you’ll gather business requirements, and make architectural decisions about how you’re going to support various app use-cases. You’ll work out how you’ll expose existing data, setup triggers and endpoints, design an elegant GraphQL model, and how you’ll simplify the life of developers who end up targeting your platform. You’ll already have a good grasp of browser security – security sandboxing principals, CORS, and so on – and you’re the kind of geek who’ll enjoy detailing how you want authentication to work. Most importantly, you’ll need the ability to work well as part of a team because even Buffy Summers relies on Willow and Xander for back-up!
What’s in it for you? Aside from the glorious satisfaction of knowing that your work is helping thousands of people every day, there are perks. A competitive salary and bonus scheme are just the beginning: our client offers your choice of equipment (phasers, anyone?), promotes self-improvement through company-sponsored hosting for side projects, and all the books, courses, and conferences you might need to become your very best self. The snappy modern office is nearly as cool as the Batcave with BBQs in the summer, Monday team breakfasts, Friday lunches, and Friday afternoon beers.
We all need a little help sometimes, so let us help you into your next amazing role. Send a transmission through sub-space today and let us know why you’re the perfect fit!
