Do you a) choose adventure or b) stay home?

Calling all weekend warriors! We’ve got a stellar opportunity in one of the most outdoor-centric, activity-packed places on earth. The role is great, but it’s your post-work hours that we want to talk about because after all, when you punch out you might as well be in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Picture this: kayaking along the Mediterranean coast, scuba diving to old shipwrecks, and cycling next to the sort of azure water that you only see on postcards. All that, and we’ve barely scratched the surface of what makes Malta remarkable!

Our international client is a financial company that believes online trading should be available to all . . . and it turns out the world agreed with them! Twenty years on, they’ve seen incredible growth around the globe. With a brand that’s recognized worldwide and a passion for hiring extraordinary employees, they are looking for a few great people to join their team in Malta.

The Malta office is looking for a front-end developer. You should be used to working with a package manager (they use npm), a task runner (like Gulp or Webpack), a CSS preprocessor, and WebSockets. They’ve looking for someone with a wealth of experience across the JavaScript ecosystem – you should have opinions on ES6, played with TypeScript, understand the role of Babel and Web Workers, and you’ve mastered a modern framework like React or Angular.

A few fun facts about Malta: it is the tenth-smallest country in the world, has over 50 incredible dive spots, and throughout history it has been ruled by Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Normans, the French, the British, and—phew! Did we miss anyone? Carthaginians, right. Never forget a Carthaginian, they hold grudges. With all those influences on one tiny island, Malta is tapestry of architectural styles, mouth-watering cuisine, and a panoply of languages but don’t worry—English is an official language, and all government documents are offered in English.

The Maltese people are widely regarded as some of the friendliest folks on the planet, so if you take this job, you’ll have no shortage of pals to spend your weekend with. Drop us an email today and tell us why you should be the next big presence in Malta!
